Only two days left to register for the drawing for the free book. Look at my post from last Saturday and add a comment if you want a chance to win.
I'll be posting a new review this Friday too, but I don't have a book to give away for that one, so take a chance while you have one.

New Book Review: For Parents Only - getting inside the head of your kid
I had the opportunity to read this book, and I have two more copies that I will send out FREE in the next week. If you comment on my blog on this post, between December 1st and 4th, I'll draw two lucky names and send you each a free copy of this book. Tell your friends...especially those with preteens, teens and even younger kids who'll be moving into these stages in the coming years.
I found the book to be very informative and have some practical insights, especially for those years when things seem to be highly emotional and it's easy to lose perspective in your relationship with your kids. This is the time when you'll wonder who the child is living in your house and where that little angel went.
Shaunti Feldhahn is known for unlocking the mysteries of relationships for men and women. Now she turns to a parent’s relationship with a child, particularly preteens and teenagers . Drawing on the results of a nationwide survey of kids and teenagers, she explores questions such as: Harvard University . She and her husband, Jeff, have two young children. Lisa A. Rice is the associate editor of Christian Living magazine, the mother of two teenage girls, and a screenwriter and producer.
I can't wait to hear from you and will look forward to sending out two early Christmas presents in the coming week.
And if you don't happen to win the drawing and want to buy the book, go to Amazon.com : For Parents Only

Why even your "good" kid may sometimes go crazy to gain personal freedoms.
How to establish a "safe" place for your kids in their sojourn into adulthood.
Understanding the answers to these and other important questions can help parents make the holidays a time of celebration and unity, not strife and friction.
For Parents Only offers a unique look into a child’s mind and frees readers to communicate in healthier ways as they discover that understanding their kids may not be as complicated as they think.

Just a little treat from WaterBrook Press:
Hey, have you heard of the book, Mosaic by Amy Grant? I just received a free copy to read and review on my blog! Isn't that awesome! To be honest, I don't even remember how I got it. I just remember responding to either an email or an ad on a website telling them that I'd be interested in reviewing it. In order to qualify I had to send the link to this blog so they could see that it was "established" and probably that I wasn't some lunatic. Of course, I probably fit pretty perfectly into their target audience, so I'm in and I got the book in the mail today.
Those of you who know me well, know that I'm a big fan of Amy (Grant, that is). Well, also of Amy Schubert, but that's another story. Anyway, I'm supposed to post my review between Oct 15 and 19th, and I haven't even started reading, so I'd better get busy...and you'll have to check back later to see the review and the full story behind the connection between Amy Grant and my daughter, Amy (Schubert). There really is a story!
So mark your calendars to come back for a visit next week to see the rest of the story...

You'll fall in love with Barbosa (he seems so innocently sweet) and Nash (he's not innocent but a very caring, intelligent, hard-working leader of the team. even though somewhat of a social rebel at heart).
Here's a review of the book to give you a taste.
Read it!
